About Us
Established in 1980 to serve families throughout the greater Corning area, the Corning Children's Center aims to set the standard in early care and education by inspiring learners, leaders and dreamers. We provide high quality care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our Center has a strong sense of community, and the environment we provide is positive, gentle, diverse, inclusive, creative, stimulating -- one that recognizes and appreciates the uniqueness of each child.
We also serve as a training site for college and high school students who are pursuing studies in early childhood education.
We invite you to find out more about who we are, what sets us apart, and all that goes into our program – our superb staff and thoughtfully developed curriculum — and why these make a difference to you and your family. You can get a sense, too, of a typical day at our Center.
We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our staff members recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of each child, and we cultivate a sense of community that is positive, gentle, warm, diverse, inclusive, creative, stimulating, and genuine.
We believe we serve our children as both caregivers and educators. Research supports our conviction that children are best able to grow and learn when they can freely explore a world in which they feel cared for and safe. With this in mind, nurturing, learning, and safety form the three legs of the stool upon which our program is based.Highlights
