About Us

Located in the “heart of it all” and situated on 44 tree lined acres, The Windmill
Farm & Craft Market is nestled in the rolling hills of Upstate New York. Just south of Penn Yan on
State Route 14A and bordered by Keuka and Seneca Lakes, the scenic surroundings are almost unimaginable. Beginning over 30 years ago with one man’s dream, a bulldozer, volunteers, a barn raising and selling hot dogs, The Windmill is growing stronger than ever.

The Windmill is host to over 175 indoor and outdoor shops filled with hand crafted items too numerous to count. You will discover great food, tasty treats, fresh produce, flowers, custom cabinetry, furniture, fashion, healthy choices, local wineries, artistry, micro brews, entertainment, hands on activities and so much more. It is recommended that groups allow two to three hours at The Windmill but a whole day can easily be spent in leisurely shopping, relaxing to live entertainment, watching crafters create or just having fun with family and friends. The Windmill offers many onsite dining options from full restaurants to unending snack options. With six wineries, a brewery and a distillery, The Windmill is a one stop destination for tastings.
