The Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery at The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) is pleased to announce, Making Connections: Mentoring New Artists, presented by Johnson-Schmidt and Associates Architects, will be on view from Friday, February 16 – Friday, March 29, 2024. Join The ARTS Council for an opening reception on Friday, March 1 from 4-6pm.
About The Show:
Making Connections: Mentoring New Artists explores intergenerational connections between artists, connections that have been forged intentionally. Professionals mentored student artists one-on-one and provided examples of continuous and productive creativity in the context of a successful life. Together, these artists have created a scaffolding for learning not only artistic skills and techniques, but a way of being in the world.
Partial funding for this exhibition was provided by the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes.
