The Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes is proud to announce its final Musicians’ Choice Chamber Series concert of the 2018-19 season. This chamber concert will be held at The Rockwell Museum, 111 Cedar Street, Corning on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 PM.
The Elmira Trombone Choir presents a diversified program mix from Baroque, classical, romantic, impressionistic, and modern eras as well as entertaining arrangements of folk and popular music.
Following in the tradition of the world famous Eastman Trombone Choir founded by Emory Remington in 1941, The Elmira Trombone Choir has grown to include many of the best trombonists in central New York, including members of The Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, Binghamton Symphony, Tri-Cities Opera, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Williamsport Symphony, as well as faculty from Hartwick College, Binghamton University and Mansfield University.
Performed by a harmonius blend of eight trombone and bass trombones, this performance showcases the OSFL Trombone section: Norm Wilcox, Duane Smith, and Craig Harrigan.
