Poets in Play Featuring Nicolas Eckerson
Tuesday, March 8, 2022
7 – 9 PM
It may be March, but in upstate NY we know that means to keep the snow boots by the door and the salt handy. To combat those winter blues, join The ARTS Council on March 8th for a featured poetry reading by Nicolas Eckerson from 7-9pm via Zoom.
After Nick's reading we will host an open mic session. Anyone can read. Feel free to bring your own poem or write something inspired by Nick's prompt:
"I look for genuine personalities as one walking the early morning souvenir shore of the beach."
This event is free and open to the public.
About Nicolas:
Nicolas Eckerson is a poet of scenery, observing and taking notes and combining them into complete poems. His inspiration comes from Western NY business parks, neighborhoods and the things he overhears people say that stick in his mind. He is a reader of the English Romantics and American Renaissance era poetry as well as contemporary writers such as David Foster Wallace. His poems have been published in "Big Bridge Magazine," "Le Mot Juste" and "The Joe Poems."
