The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce and Corning Community College’s Workforce Development & Community Education will be co-sponsoring the first Corning-Steuben Leadership Program starting in September 2007. According to Chamber President, Coleen Fabrizi, “We have had numerous requests over the past few years for the creation of a Leadership Program in Steuben County. The Corning Chamber is pleased to be collaborating with Corning Community College in response to these requests.” Brenda English, Director of Workforce Development, added, “Corning Community College is pleased to partner with the Chamber on this important initiative. This Leadership Program will offer individuals the opportunity to learn the basic elements of Leadership, and apply these elements in their everyday work environment. We look forward to enhancing leadership development in Steuben County.” The Corning Chamber (CACoC) has become known as an organization which is driven by the needs of its membership with a commitment to providing outstanding educational opportunities to the business community. The curriculum for the Corning-Steuben Leadership Program will combine excellence in leadership models, with many interesting facets of Steuben County. We are very excited to be offering this program and look forward to receiving your registration inquiries. The CACoC is working with an advisory group to develop a program which is geared to meeting the leadership needs of the business community. If you have suggestions or would be interested in contributing to the development of the program we would love to hear from you. CCC’s Workforce Development & Community Education offers resources for industry specific education and training programs for existing and future regional businesses, industries and professionals. CCC is dedicated to providing every business in our service region with up-to-date corporate training topics offered at our Business Development Center in downtown Corning, our Airport Corporate Park facility in Big Flats, or conveniently located at your business. We pride ourselves on customizing training opportunities specific to your business needs for maximum effectiveness. Facilities are also available to rent for business meetings, retreats or training sessions.
