The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce has rolled out the ‘welcome mat’ for the organization’s newest Member-based group, the Corning Chamber Ambassadors.  Their goal is to encourage meaningful participation in the Chamber’s programs and services … all in a dedicated and caring effort to build Member commitment and increase Member retention.

WHAT ARE AMBASSADORS?

The Ambassadors are volunteers who have been selected to represent the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as “good will Member retention” hands of the business organization.  In their roles as Ambassadors, this talented group of volunteers provides valuable mentoring and recognition for Chamber Members at all Chamber functions and assists new Members with effective involvement in Chamber programs and activities.

This prestigious role represents a very large commitment for these volunteers.  How fortunate our communities are to have the talents of these willing individuals who believe in the value of building trusting business relationships.  These people also share an obligation as community leaders to devote their time, knowledge and experience for the success of the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce Members.

WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF THE AMBASSADORS?

The main focuses of the Chamber Ambassadors are:

• To welcome and involve existing Members through participation in Chamber events
• To mentor and foster new Members to encourage involvement and education of the Chamber’s many programs and services
• To act as hosts at all Chamber events/functions, greeting everyone and making them feel welcome
• To recruit and cultivate new Chamber Members
• To serve as contact conduits for questions, concerns, ideas and feedback for new and existing Members reinforcing the value of Chamber Membership investing
